Born in Caracas, Venezuela, on May 19th, 1971, he began his musical studies at the School Pedro Nolasco Colon of CONAC (Consejo Nacional de la Cultura, organised under the Ministry of Culture) Caracas, with Professor Teresa Kosh and Professor Hugo Corsetti. He then studied Saxophone at the Conservatory Pau Casals, Puerto Rico, with Professor Victor Payano and at the School of Arts Carolina, Villa Carolina, Puerto Rico. Back in Venezuela, he studied Piano and Composition at IUDEM -Instituto Universitario de Estudios Musicales (University Institute of Music Studies) Caracas, with Professor Lluis Eunice and John Andres Sanz. He started to work as pianist under the artistic direction of Irina Ivanovak and Rafael Portillo in the Fundación Escuela de Ballet Teresa Carreño (Teresa Carreño Foundation Ballet School), Caracas. He also worked as music editor and music arranger for Media Com Production Film & TV in Caracas.

As you can see from his CV here below, he has a long live performance history. He worked with many heterogeneous musical groups and experienced a great variety of different kinds of music: Latin and African, rock, ska, flamenco, jazz and recently electronic music. 

In Barcelona, Spain (1999-2009), he worked as pianist and saxophonist with groups such as Rufino and Don Domingo, Sin papeles and Guantanamo Free. He worked in many Theatres, Clubs and jazz restaurants such as Antilla, Apollo and Little Italy. He recorded various CDs with some of the groups above mentioned such as Guantanamo Free and Rufino and Don Domingo (Vale Music Records, Barcelona). In Madrid, Spain (2009-2013), he performed in many venues such as Arenal, Galileo and Clamores Theatres. He accompanied national and international artists as Malena Gracia, Dalila Colombo, Sananda Dico and Salvador Soteldo. Both in Barcelona and Madrid he worked regularly as professor teaching piano, guitar and music theory in schools and elderly centres.

In his long career he also worked as music editor for many musical and theatrical projects, such as the short film El Hombre de la Ventana (The man at the window) for a film school in Barcelona. He also participated in the comedy Pa atras ni pa' cojer impulso (Never give up) under the direction of the Director Carles Canut in the Romea Theater, Barcelona. He also collaborated with Cecilia Bellorín for her monologue Cosas de Negros (Black stuff) at the Tantarantana Theater, Barcelona.  He is the founder of the Latin Orchestra Carahabana.
